the bowl/dish was made from cold finished plate. when i made it i just heated the sides with a torch and bent up the sides. with a hammer of course and held in a vice.

it never really got hot enough to scale very much. after it cooled i wire brushed, heated a bit and put on a beeswax/linseed oil mix. i wire brushed the edge pretty hard to make it shine.
