Down in Brookfield/Danbury (where Old Route 7 meets I-84) there is a crafts 
center that is supposed to have a blacksmith shop and where they hold 
classes.  This may be a good place to make some local blacksmithing 
contacts.  I don't know if they take outside work in for sale or not, but 
you might ask.
