McEnglvan makes a round ( and a square) gas forge that is designed to be used 
as either a forge or a melting furnace.  Work on natural or propane and uses 
a blower.  I would guess the crucible would be about the size of a pint 
glass.  I used the round one for awhile but only as a forge.   I think that 
as a melting furnace it would be much better. I bought the square one which i 
like better.  The round one is for sale for 400.  Contact me off list if 
interested.
