[TheForge] My first contract!!!YIPPEE!!!

Hey All,
       Celebrate with me!!! Guess what?  I just got my first contract! Not a
sale at a craft fair or a reenactment. An Architect saw my web site and
asked me to submit a bid for 9 porch lights with an Arts and Crafts style.
Real simple design (about 4 hours a lamp).  They liked the demo and they
accepted my bid.  The architect said that if I deliver on time there should
be more orders later.
       After a bunch of false starts on other possible jobs and even having
some people "promising" big orders and then losing my number, I got a real
contract.  I am getting the down payment this week.

(I'll actaully celebrate when I have the check in my hand....no I think I'll
celebrate when I have it cashed :)

If this works out I won't need to get another summer job again! (I am a
teacher)  I can smith my way through the summer from now on!!!!
