I never buy stuff from pawn shops, I reckon more than half the stuff in them
is hot, every tool you look at theres a chance some poor guy had it pinched
out of his shed by some scummy little theif or as you commented that workers
have pinched and sold it, I dont know about the US but here in Oz there
arent enough checks in place for wether goods are stolen or not in the
second hand market. It all seems unfair when you get robbed, we have 5 times
in last 2 years.
