There is a supplier of leather goods with several outlets around the country called the leather factory. The ones I'm familiar with are Ft. Worth and Denver. The sell whole and half hides.

Another option would be a custom saddle shop. Saddle trees are rawhide covered. Bound to be a saddle maker in your neck of the woods who can steer you to a supplier, or even provide you with the hide you need.
