[TheForge] test?

I think everyone should be paid on production and merit, not because
they have some kind of degree. Teachers that produce students that
learn and want to learn, certainly should be highly paid. Most
teachers don't fall into this group, at least not the teachers around
here. The focus here is on how many degrees the teachers we employ
have, not on if they can teach. So we have lots of teachers that have
proven that they are good students by earning degrees and few that are
good teachers...

The carpenters and mechanics I know that are good make good
livings, the one's that aren't change jobs a lot and never make much
money. Ought to be a way to set a system like that for teachers.
Try to figure that one out and you'll have jumped the biggest hurdle
to improving education. In addition to that, NO one that hasn't
spent a number of years in the class room should be in school
administration, not even the business manager. Teachers in every
level of management, not done here.

Students should do reviews of teachers twice a year, yeah, you'll
get reviews with vendettas, those should be easy to pick out. But
large numbers of poor reviews of any one teacher should be
investigated, teachers are too unaccountable.

Now... as for combining true metal working with tiny artistic metal
working... my mind says that some tools will transfer and one could
make tools for the other, but as far as making them one course. I
couldn't, they aren't. I'm well capable of machine operations and
fabrication, making it "artistic" will have to be done by someone
else, a good coat of paint is the limit of my artistic ability. Sorry
for not ponying up what you wanted.....
