[TheForge] Traditional Smithing, and buzz boxes

I mostly do light smithing too, and what I use my welder for is making tooling. Tooling
is typically pretty thick stuff; I just upgraded from a 250A mig to a 300A unit.

Mig and Tig will each work on both thick and thin metal (provided you have either
enough amps or patience). Mig is great for fast construction. Tig can be done to make
welds that not only are strong, but look great (not by me). Tig is a lot like gas torch
welding, if you've done any of that. Unfortunately, both are considerably more money
than stick.

Keep in mind that if the work is too thick for your welder, heating it up to 200-300F
helps immensely.
