Don Plummer sent me some pictures of the gates he rebuilt. I
thought they
would be worth posting on the photo site and asked him if he'd mind if I
posted them for him. He agreed so I just finished posting them.

He sent pictures of the gates before they were taken down, the
goodness left after removing damaged elements, and the one of a column with
the old damaged parts removed and then rebuilt. And the fourth picture will
be showing the gates as they are in present condition when Don got done
working on them.

He wrote "These are pics from the restoration of the 130-170 year
old gates from the Old Pine Presbyterian Church in Society Hill Section of
Philadelphia. These three pics show a portion of the gate before, a gate
with all unsalvalgable parts removed, and a pic of column and crown before
and after. All in all, about 150 pounds of pure iron was used in the
restoration. And, of course, the previous pic I sent you of one set of gates
and column restored and mounted".
