Not a problem with the soldering part.  But I do need to compliment you on
an excellent description of the process.

This is not a completely finished basement as found in suburbia.  Think more
along the lines of a farm cellar.  There are places where standing is
difficult without adding the hazards of a torch as well as some awkward
positions.

Thought if someone had actual experience with the new chemical methods it
might be worth the try.
