[TheForge] new anvils ring

Like most things being photographed, there is a place where color really
shows off the piece best, not just different metals ( as mentioned by Rick )
but to show the subtleties of surface texture and color. The Olden days of
black and white were good, but the Newen days that include color are better.
Lets keep moving forward.
My son when four years old said "If those times you talk about were the
Olden days, then these must be the Newen days" We enjoyed that one!

Color vs black & white?
There is a lot of metal work which includes stainless, bronze, copper,
wood, stone and ...
Good color photography seems to provide more info about colors,
perhaps at the expense of textures.
My preference is for 1. good work, 2. good photography including color
where appropriate.

came yesterday. i never knew there was quite so much going on when ice
melted...still not sure there is. very arty tho and some great
examples of artspeak.
i'm probably the only one but i would be perfectly happy to go back to
black and white.
Wrong. You and I are on the same frequency here, that is for certain.
I remember how disappointed I was when "Fine Woodworking" went color.
Ick.
