George,
Thank you very much.  You provided a great explaination of the
movement of the metal, texturing and how pure iron works compared to
mild steel.  With the small amout of PI that I have used, I have also
found that it is more subject to bruises from the vise and tongs, like
bronze so that I  have to pay more attention to 'process' and the
order of steps in making a piece.
