You can get free emails from lots of different sources - Hotmail, Yahoo, 
Canoemail, etc.  Dump your internet account altogether and just use the 
local library to check your mail. No cost to you whatsoever, a bit of a 
hassle though. I knew a guy who couldn't afford a computer and did this 
for about 3 years.
