Noticed Mike Spencer's reference to the subject book. You see
different publishers for this book by Dyer since I think the company
changed hands (the book's from England) fairly often. I think it is a
very good book since it's old enough to contain processes that you
don't see in the newer working sheet metal books.

I have two photocopy versions of the books for $12.95 each plus $2
postage. The photocopies are good since there are no
photographs in the book. The same UK publisher has a newer
book called Working Sheet Metal by Wakeford that replaced the
Dyer book, but I don't think it is as good.

Generally, I don't recommend buying out of print books from
Amazon because they really do a number on you. A little over a
year ago I had them check on getting a copy of Sonn's Early
American Wrought Iron knowing it was out of print and there were
copies (at the time) available on the internet for around $80-$90.
They quoted me a price of $380 from one of their "affiliates." Even
on this Dyer book there is a copy available that I just checked on
that was listed on Amazon for $88 something so I called the seller
and the quoted me around $39. It's still caveat emptor out there in
the book world! Must say though on new books Amazon can have
some very good prices. Sorry this is so long.
