These things are primarily for panel
beaters, although some metal sculptors
have taken to them. They have two main
functions. You can curve a metal sheet
be changing the thickness in areas,( You
get the same effect with a shot bag) or
after using the shot bag you can use the
E-wheel to smooth out the walnuts from
the hammer.

Essentially you push/pull the metal
between the upper wheel and anvil. They
have a contact point of approx. 1/4
inch.
