There are BTW wire wheels filled with plastic.  The idea is that they =
don't catch things as easily, yet provide the same abrasion as it is only =
the ends of the wires that do the work.  Not foolproof, but an improvement =
over the standard wheels.

Another thing is to use a very weak motor on your wire wheel.  Mostly it's =
the speed that does the job.  If the wheel doesn't slow much when you use =
it, then the motor is powerful enough.  Any more power is just going to =
get you in trouble.
