We don't let the lye get in the aluminum pots, as it does eat em, we just
heat the vegetable oils in the aluminum and add them to the lye solution in
5 gallon buckets.

The burner problem has disappeared  for now as I adjusted the burners and
she's letting it ride, possibly because the August Temperatures in the soap
room make the need for added heat less important.
