[TheForge] On the making of a LESS efficient draft

Mark, I am counting on the draft being
less. What I
would like to be rid of is, sending the
sparks up the chimney. The thought was
that if the draft was not so intimately
positioned to the fire, then the sparks
would not get picked up. A spark
arrestor is definitely in the plans
also.

My concerns are twofold.

1. The pyrotechnics coming from the
chimney at night, might raise more
interest from the neighbors than I care
for.

2. The new chimney exhausts in an area
more prone to collect tinder. (Leaves
and paper debris between the buildings)
The old chimney was twenty feet higher
up and nothing ever made it to the
ground. I do not feel as secure about
the new one.
