[TheForge] PLEASE! Stop the Stupid comments

I'm a relative newbie to this list and probably shouldn't be speaking up,
but what the hell. Got to get my fanny fried sooner or later.

This list is supposed to be about smithing, not politics or religion or
personal beliefs of any kind that don't deal at least indirectly with
smithing. Like any Internet forum this list will have some sidebar threads
on unrelated topics, and this should be expected and tolerated to a point.
However, regardless of topic, polite conversation should always be the rule.
The current thread has crossed the boundary and for that reason the thread
should cease. Now might be a good time to suggest that everyone remember the
accepted rules of Netiquette and practice friendly (or at least polite)
messaging.  Here is a link that I feel some folks here would benefit from

Now, I fully expect that somebody on the list will take offense to my
butting in and my suggestion, so I will apologize in advance and go back to
the sidelines hoping that things will return to the topic I subscribed to
the list to read about. I hope things get friendlier and back on topic so I
can continue to learn from the more experienced hands on the list.
