IMHO, for ornamental ironwork, the typical 3D CAD system doesn't really fit the bill. Any scroll work has to be drawn in the system, and it's quicker to do it by hand. If you look in "The Fabricator" there are CAD systems that are more oriented to ornamental ironwork with parametrically created libraries of scrolls and other details. The downside is that these are on the pricey side. Phil
