Im a bit of a Msoft lackey, Ive tried linux and had such a hard time using
it I never went back. I learned windows without any help and have installed
all the different versions multiple times on many different configurations
and troubleshooted all sorts of problems, I dont think I could have ever got
to this level on Linux from what I saw, mabey Ive been brainwashed by bill
though :). Sure there was instability with earlier versions but I find win
xp to be very, very stable. I have control over a machine and am very happy
with the results, my cnc plasma table box runs win 98 and a few shareware
programs that all work great and no problems as yet. Thats the next thing I
like about win, the vast array of software freely, cheaply or otherwise
available for any imaginable use, I havent seen as many options available in
each catagory for linux. I dont like the MS monopoly so much, but I really
dont think theres anything wrong with the product.

All:

When trashing software/hardware/airhammers/etc., kindly include for
perspective the most recent version/vintage with which the trasher has
significant firsthand experience. For example, offering the venomous opinion
that Hondas are irredeemable rustbuckets without disclosing that the last
one
owned was a '67 could be considered somewhat misleading and irrelevant.

BTW, Unix, just entering its 4th decade (and widely available only since
'75), is not exactly "that which computers were first run by."

Nevertheless, By no means a M$ lackey,
