[TheForge] Grease

Gasoline makes sense to use if you can be sure not to set your shop on =
fire or blow yourself up with it.

Otherwise, I was thinking along the same lines as Steve. Methylene =
chloride might just be the worlds best grease-cutter. Unfortunately it's =
very volatile, so can be impractical to store, much less use. 1,1,1-trichl=
oroethane, which should be available in hardware stores or grocery stores =
as a spot remover, is a good alternative. Not very flammable, and should =
cut grease well.

Keep plastic parts out of these solvents or they might not be there when =
you go to pull them out!

Just a thought -- Kano's lab Floway (http://www.kanolabs.com/)
cuts grease, not too bad on the paws, water soluble, non-flammable.
Stuff works for me (and check out Kroil - which even works well
as a drill oil). Don't even own stock in Kano, but I like there stuff.
