Oh MAN!!!
     I can identify with that, if the concrete isn't super hard, I hit
a piece of gravel, sometimes you can break a stone with a punch and go
on though it with the bit.  Not every time, and sometimes in the
process of breaking the stone I wash out the hole to the point the
tapcon won't hold.  Grrrrr...
