My forge is pipe the venturi holder, comes in on the tangent and angled toward the front of the forge.

The holder is close to the back of the forge. I did this from a description posted by Randall Graham of his forge.

I was running a kawool liner and have just switched it to mizzou. i fired it for the first time last night. It works okay so far, does not heat as fast but is not as fragile as kawool.  I tried an 1-1/2" of mizzou it seems to be a bit thin, I am getting a lot of ambient heat from the shell. I'll play with it somemore.

Wish I had put the mizzou over the kawool.  ( mizzou gets hot, kawool reflects heat back to mizzou.)

Oh well I can preheat stuff on this one, next one will be different.
