Michael,

Are you close to the campus of the Madison Area Technical College?  If so, 
then I'd suggest going in and introducing yourself to Valerie Weihman in 
the welding and metallurgy department.  Tell her I sent you.  If anyone can 
answer your question or tell you what you did wrong or whatever happened, 
then she can.
