The color is pretty much the same, as you guessed, perhaps just a tad
darker.

Well done, Harry, well done.  Did the oil finish and waxing make much
difference in the appearance or is the color pretty much the way it came
out of the fire?  I'm thinking that it's pretty much the same as it came
out of the fire.
