Walters Abrasives makes the greatest blending/polishing cosumables I
have come across for stainless or carbon steel.
They make two versions. A series of drums of successively finer grits,
and cotton polishing drums with polishing liquid. The drums come with
5/8" - 11 thread nuts attached. The drums are designed to be used on
Walter's heavy duty side grinder. I have been using my Metabo side
grinder and it's working fine.

They also make a quick disc version where the successive discs are
attached with velcro to a pad. Depends on area to cover, frequency of
use, etc.
