Ray,
Please tell us where to get cold saws for under $800. The only one I
know about is the Wilton 225 which you can get now from MSC for $999
(blade about $95 extra). It also has a coolant system and look like a
great small machine. I'd sure like to know what else is out there as
I will buying something soon.
Regarding cutting stainless, I use my small bandsaw with the best
bi-metal blades I can find. The trick that makes the blades last is
to lubricate the blade with WD-40. Yes, that's right, just a little
spray every couple of minutes makes a world of difference on the life
of the blade. With out it, the blade will dull very quickly.
