Boot up the windows machine and reboot to dos, not a dos window.  Likely it 
will work so long as you don't have a funky monitor.  However, with W98, I 
have had some odd errors come up that knocks me out of the program 
sometimes.  Don't know why, though I suspect it's the config.sys settings.

Probably any dxf for a specific printer would be sufficient for laser 
cutting, though I would ask them to be certain.  I do hpgl plots of my 
drawings for inclusion in articles.  Word sucks in the hpgl plots as 
pictures just as good as a jpg.
