the hydaulic attachment is good for heavy stuff but will probably slow you down on 1/2" stock.

Each bend seems to be about 20-25 degrees of the circle. That means about 7 bends to get a half circle  It bends really fast (by hand)and easily. I am using a piece of pipe that I have flattened to insert into the bending arm to extend the arm to about 4 feet. That extra leverage is enough to bend 1/2 square stock on the diagonal without a lot of effort.
