The "flair" tablet is an input device for sketching into the puter with a
pen, works pretty good. Really when it comes down to it, I think a pencil
and paper is the best way to form ideas and see how things will look, next
step can be chaulk and the floor or a blackboard or metal table top, gives
room for life size plans that you can layout against. Computers are good for
symetrical work like formal gates etc which are hard to do by hand, or for
spending time getting a photolike impression for a client before the piece
is started. The other use is the collage of cutouts of leaves ,scrolls etc
on the screen to form what you are making, this takes a lot of time to setup
at the start but then its fairly easy to arrange and rearrange different
components to render a gate or similar.
