Okay, so a good resister converts electrical power into heat.  Got it.

I still am interested in learning how a partially inductive load would affect
the tuning of an RF output circuit.  For example:

I took some 250 ohm 100 W Ohmite wire wounds and configured a 50 ohm
array.  The inductance of a single Ohmite was around 12.6 H.  The array
measured 360 uH.

I loaded my little rig into it and seemed to be okay.  Resistors got mildly warm.
Switched over to my LDG Auto Ant Tuner and it matched within a second.

I then changed the load to a 100W lightbulb & repeated the same thing and
did not see any difference.

So okay, the LDG is keeping the secret of whatever difference there was to
itself.

Can anyone surmise in practical terms what I did not see?
