Hi!

Can anyone help me with info on this device, the Bruel and Kjaer RF Voltmeter 2006?

I need the circuit, and the service manual, if such a one exists. I have the block
diagram, and the Users book.

Mine works well, but some problems remain, in that the calibrating oscillator output
is far too high, about 6mV rms instead of 2.5, and I want to build a probe, which is
missing. This is only described as a "cathode follower". Is it the same as in the
2002, an all-valve previous version? The Probe power output certainly provides about
60v(HT?) and 6v(LT?) and the Users manual definitely gives the machine half the
running life when working from the built-in NiCads, and using the probe. The 2002 used
an ECC91, but the 2006 might have used a different valve.

The book also says that connection to the 75 Ohm input must always be done with the
special cable supplied (but also missing), and gives no reason why or what it does.
Pictures show it as a standard short coax with BNCs at the ends. I found the input to
be 86R so I have paralleled a resistor on the back of the input to bring it down to
75R until I understand more about it.

Any new information will be gratefully received.

TIA
