[Test-Equipment] HP 8340A problem

HI all,

I am having an intermittent but persistent problem with an HP 8340A
synthesized sweeper that I have.  The problem is one of spurious signals
that "look" to me like loss of lock at some stage, but all indications
are that all stages are locking properly.  Things are fine when the
unit is first turned on from "Standby", but within minutes the problem
develops.
