Brian, The test can be as complicated as the ones that the members have
linked to. Or something as simple as the ones that Radio Shack used to
sell. Really depends on what your needs are. If a Go / No Go test is all
you want then the RS ones are the way to go. But if you want to do gain,
bandwidth  and matching of components then the more complex models will
sever you well. I have an old OS-8 O-Scope set up with the one from Radio
Shack and a RCA / VIZ WC-528B Quicktester. The RS model gives me the Go /
No Go test and some indication of gain. The RCA / VIZ give a better
indication of leakage and overall gain. Meets my needs. But the one
linked to sure do look interesting.
