Hi Brian:
Depends on your needs. You might consider a Micronta FET VOM. Look at a 22-208A meter, they are very inexpensive but useful.
I have used them for years but my favorite is the HP-410B or C. Have multiple copies of the 410B and a 410C. Had a shop with three fully instrumented benches. Retired and closed it. Selling the instruments now.
HP 410B
HP 8568B Spectrum analyzer
HP 8566B Spectrum analyzer
HP 85685A Preselector for the 8568B
HP 85650A Quasi-peak adapter for the 8568B
HP 8656B Signal generator
Boonton 71A L/C meter
Tonghui TH2821A LCR meter
Almost All Digital IIB L/C meter
Tektronix 7900 series Scopes and a raft of plug-ins.
Tektronix TDS724A digital scope and FET probe.
etc...
If anyone is interested.
Kindest regards Jim K9AXN

Subject: [Test-Equipment] HP VTVM?
Hello All,
Over the years I've had a couple of HP VTVM's, and liked them. They both
eventually began blowing fuses and became non functional. They were both
above my pay grade to try to repair, so I hunted up an HP test equipment
forum, since misplaced, and traded them off.
I'm once again in need of a VTVM, and am wondering if I should be content
with a Heath or Eico that I can maintain myself, or go looking for an HP.
All suggestions greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Brian Burns
