The 707 uses a type 83 full-wave rectifier and a 6BN8 dual diode/triode.  Be
careful to not use an 83-V tube in place of the 83.  The 83 is a
mercury-vapor rectifier, while the 83-V is a vacuum rectifier, and their
operating characteristics are different.  The 83 has a 15 volt drop and 3.0
amperes filament current, while the 83-V has a 25 volt drop and 2.0 amperes
filament current.
