[Test-Equipment] Micronta 2204032 signal injector

I have acquired an "old" Micronta signal injector sold by Radio Shack "years ago". I don't know if it is operational yet because the 9 volt battery connector needs replacing.

Has any owned and used the old Micronta 22-4032, made in japan, signal injector? Can you tell me anything about it or its' circuitry? Is it a useful tool for injecting a signal into a receiver to assist with signal tracing? Please tell me about it and its' circuit if you have any information. Thanks and 73, John, K5PGW
