There is a "Micro-Polishing" kit that uses both a liquid for the final
polish, and some extremely fine flexible abrasive "sheets" that can be
found at most FBOs, (Fixed Base Operators), at local/regional airports.
(Starts at 4000 grit and goes MUCH finer.)

They are intended for General Aviation Aircraft windshield which indeed
are Polycarbonate.

The same system is used for Windshields on motorcycles, as in the Gold
Wing series.

I've used it on both with great success.
