[Test-Equipment] Meter movement on Eico 249 VTVM

I have a very nice and clean Eico 249 VTVM with a mechanical problem.

The meter works electrically, but the mechanical zeroing screw will not set the meter movement at ZERO.

Does anyone know if the cover of the face can be removed to enable getting to the manual ZEROing mechanism? I don't want to damage the plastic meter face, but need to get into the meter to fix the zero screw. Suggestions based on actual knowledge and experience will be greatly appreciated.
