[Test-Equipment] Power oscillators

Two power oscillators followed me home from Shelby.
These are AIL 445A and Sierra Electronics 450A-500.

The Sierra appears to be a 2C39 in a cavity and it appears to 
somewhat work, it does put out some power.
I have not powered up the AIL yet.

Does any one have any information on these?
Google was no help.
The Sierra looks like a candidate for conversion from oscillator to amplifier.
