[Test-Equipment] AN/PRM-10 Question

I recently got an AN/PRM-10 Grid Dip Meter, it worked
OK when it arrived but had an intermittant of some sort. I
got it to work and then it stopped altogether. The only
thing I can find is that the cathode to ground resistance of
the oscillator tube is wrong. This is a small choke going
from ground to a pin on the tube. The book states this
should measure 42 ohms in the resistance chart and "about 50
ohms" in the text but I measure about half an ohm. I can't
see how this choke could short, it appeas to be a single
layer solenoid. I wonder if anyone knows for certain what
its value should be or has an instrument and could measure
it. I have only the handbooks from BAMA (the dejavu version
is more complete than the PDF) which do not have a parts
list to double-check the value. I would very much like to
get this thing going. The odd part is that it actually
worked at first but I had to open it to align the tuning cap
and dial to get the frequency calibration on. I did that and
after finishing dropped the probe after which it stopped
working. The acorn tube is good, I tested it and made sure
it was installed correctly. Any help would be appreciated. I
can post voltage readings if desired.
