I have one of these calibrators. The original crystal
layed an egg and it took me a while to find another that
worked. Anyway, the thing is back in action and I am curious
if any list members are really familiar with it. I have a
handbook I bought somewhere (in a box, not sure where) but
remember its alignment instructions were rudementary. I am
curious about an adjustment inside the case that is not made
accessible from the outside. There is only one like this and
I don't even know the designation of the coil. Does anyone
know what this is for and how to adjust it? I've just left
it in about the center of its range.
I use this little box all the time for aligning
receivers and as a marker for receivers without bandspread
_set_ markers, like my Hammarlund HQ-129-X so I would like
to make sure it works as intended.
