[Test-Equipment] Patent Searching

Hi Pete:

Once you find a patent then you've got a number of possible searches, for example:
Search Google for various combinations of the inventor name and city where he lives.
Search for the title (there are thousands of patents with the exact same title).
Search at USPTO for the class/sub class number or a concatenation of it.

Check the hardware, manuals, ads, etc. to see if there's a patent number or date.
Given a date and a top class number you can easily find the patent.
