Hi Ron:
I have a 1ghz Aten model AT5011A with tracking generator.  I don't use it 
much but when I do, it's a lifesaver.  My impression of ATEN stuff is that 
it is as cheap as you can make something and still get away with it.  Mine 
doesn't really have a calibrated vertical scale so you have to do some 
guessing for DBM strength etc.  On the other hand, $500 for a slightly used 
one ain't bad for what you're getting.  If I had to do it over again, I 
would buy an older American made or perhaps a Philips. Anything with a 
reasonable calibration on it would be good.  For Pete's sake do not buy an 
HP 141.  It's too long in the tooth and you have to buy expensive test 
fixtures to calibrate the beast.
