     Mine is a Type 1862-A. This has a 500V supply since 
that is a standard for testing insulation in machinery. It 
is possible to disable the internal supply and use an 
outboard one of lower voltage but it is a  bit of a  PITA 
since you have to open the case and disconnect the rectifier 
tube. The procedure is described in the handbook.
