the mainframe has a fine metal mesh over the tube face.
my question---is this a 70693 or what?
Hi, Jack
The military OS-245 by Tektronix is similar to the Tek 7603,
with some exceptions. It does not have provision for a scale
factor or numerical readout on the CRT, but it can use
most plug-ins from the 7603 series. You will need the OS-245
service manual for repairs, a 7603 manual won't do.
The power supply is weaker on the '245 mainframe, so it can't run
a few plug-ins, like the spectrum analyzers.
