Last week I got my first PTS. Model 250 M6N10 S/N 1A 6580. no 10 MHz,
1 Hz resolution. Have not powered it up yet, but it is very clean
inside and out. Hopefully $100 was not too much.

Hi Pete
If PTS is Programmed Test Sources I'd say $100 was a bargain, but then I'm
a bit soft on the darn things and ever so slightly biased:-)
As far as I'm aware there's no manual for the PTS250 available online, my
copy of the GPIB section is out there but I've never got round to scanning
the rest of it, but you'll find it shares quite a few modules in common with
the PTS160 and the PTS160 manual is at to-way.com and probably on Didier's
site too.
I'll try to get the PTS250 manual scanned sometime soon but that won't be
for a week or so at the earliest and would be happy to help with any
specific information in the meantime.
One thing to check, the lower digit modules, from 100KHz down to 0.1Hz are
all module type DM1005 and I've had at least one PTS500 which was sold as
having 1Hz resolution, and with a blank switch in the 0.1Hz position, but
was actually a 0.1Hz version with the extra module still fitted but a couple
of bus bars cut short just before the 0.1Hz switch.
