Have you managed to find a low frequency head and coil set for the model 59? 
I'd sure like to find one.

When trying to be halfway accurate, it's always an advantage to have
a small 1 or 2 turn loop loosely coupled to the GDO feeding a
frequency counter.

I always found the Millen to be surprisingly less sensitive compared
to the good old standard Measurements Corp. Model 59, of which I have 3.
