Does the length of the line vary as you adjust the Horiz Gain (Rear Panel)?

This was with the 60 Hz applied to the Ext Horiz or not?

Try rotating the Time/Div and Trig through it's full range. Do you get any
sweep while rotating the knob?

Set the Horiz Disp to X5 Mag. What is the voltage at pin 8 of V220B with
the Hor Pos set fully CCW and CW?
